For Deep-Sea Squid, Same-Sex Sex Is Only Half the Story - NYTimes.com

For Deep-Sea Squid, Same-Sex Sex Is Only Half the Story - NYTimes.com
ok..for those of you who are interested in weird science..here you go!
i found this very interesting. Besides the sex part...i found it a bit sad that they live basically a solitary existence. however, since they've never lived any other way..do they know what they are missing? do they see other sea life in pairs or groups and feel left out? ...i wonder why these questions go through my mind. Maybe because i think every living thing needs another living thing!!..but, obviously not..as it says at the end of the article..there are still squid!
just "food for thought"...one of Ann's "I wonder"'s !!

This was a strange article, Ann. What a curiosity! And who could identify with squid?--and what a strange calling in life, to study invertebrates living in the wild dark and deep ocean! Must take very special people to do so.........

This is a very interesting article Ann! I thought it was funny, when he said, it's the kind of mating, that would make a good video game! LOL! Have a great day!

That article is interesting. I have wondered the same thing about creatures that spend their time in solitude and I guess they don't get lonely if that is their very nature, but one can't help but wonder.
