Oh sweet Ann I know he will adore you! How wonderful! My daughter gave up a little boy for adoption 3 years ago. She has 2 children and is divorced her son has High Functioning Autism and BiPolar disorder. She did not feel she could handle a baby and the babies father flatly denied being the father and gave up all rights so there would be no help at all but from her sister and I. He was adopted by a lovely family and they email her pictures and keep her up to date on how he is growing. (She has an open adoption) I am sure your son is going to understand you do what you have to to give them the best life possible. I have such respect for you. I believe looking out for your childs best intrest even when your heart is breaking takes courage and unconditional love.
Hoping your day is simply WONDERFUL! Can't wait to hear how things go:)
I will understand if you do not want to post this I just thought I needed to share.
Sending a HUGE HUGE HUG filled with love,
Becky
PS I have an adopted brother and sister and I love them both so much my family truly is blessed by their lives:)
Darling Becky..I am honored and proud to share any post from you!!!I am adopted and I used the same agency my parents did.My parents were so supportive and helped me through it. Such a difficult choice for your daughter, but I so understand and respect her for her choice! she, like I,had to think of her baby, not herself. The father of my son was the same way,he did go to the agency to sign away his rights..i had spoken with the woman I worked with during the process and she ,as per my request, brought him in after the papers had been signed..she stood with my baby about 10 feet away..I said to my baby's father.." live the rest of your life knowing you've seen your son and NEVER TOUCHED HIM"..then she took him out of the room! Then,me being bad as i am...sent his mother a birth announcement!!(he hadn't told her and didn't want her to know).I figured if my parents could have loved him for the 2 weeks I kept him,I was living at home with them, and my mother was at my bedside the entire 181/2 of labor, and they could let him go with broken hearts..then she should know too!. Was I young and spiteful then..yes!I will certainly let you know how it goes!!xoxoxoxoxoxoxo
