April Fools is known as a day filled with hoaxes, gags and good humored fun. It is the season for renewal and new beginnings. The closest point in time that can be identified as the beginning of this tradition was in 1582, in France. Prior to that year, the new year was celebrated for eight days, beginning on March 25. The celebration culminated on April 1. With the reform of the calendar under Charles IX, the Gregorian Calendar was introduced, and New Year's Day was moved to January. However, communications being what they were in the days when news traveled by foot, many people did not receive the news for several years. Others, the more obstinate crowd, refused to accept the new calendar and continued to celebrate the new year on April 1. These backward folk were labeled as "fools" by the general populace. They were subject to some ridicule, and were often sent on "fools errands" or were made the butt of other practical jokes. This harassment evolved, over time, into a tradition of prank-playing on the first day of April.
Why would we share this with you….some may say we are fools! Fools we may be…. BUT....
This is NOT a practical joke We are going to run a contest! For every order made from April 1st through April 10th we will be putting the persons name in to a so called hat and
1 winner will be chosen through random.org to win a $10.00 gift certificate for anything on the site! Forward this to your friends if they make a purchase they will be entered also! NO JOKE!
April and spring go hand in hand. April showers bring May flowers. April is a month filled with bright and beautiful things! And April is the month to create create create! OK we made that up this is a Joke! Any month is good for creating! Let us help you with one or two or three of our collage sheets, classes, craft projects and more!

Wow, you gave me a chance to check about April fool's Day. I pasted your post in word and and changed the color to black; haha, it worked (^_^)彡☆ I also read the Wikipedia page about the day and I could make sure in Japanese as well.
