I will be visiting off and on. My husband was hit by a car yesterday evening while crossing the street on his way home from the market. He was in the crosswalk, green walk signal and the person in the car wasn't paying attention and hit him. Spent several hours in the ER  last night..No broken bones, but ,he is banged up! Knee swollen(will have to wait to see if there are torn ligaments or meniscus) and his back and neck and hand is hurting. He is in a knee immobilizer.
A very scary thing..in a heartbeat I could have lost the man who is my reason for living. I'm guessing his time wasn't up and God still has plans for him!!
I spent last night just waking up off and on..and looking at him...thinking how lucky we all were!!!
If you haven't told the people you love how much they mean to you today.....just remember it can all be gone in a second!

Oh Ann I am so sorry! I will keep your hubby in my prayers. I hope he has a speedy recovery with no lasting effects from his injuries. I so agree we don't realize how quickly we can loose someone we love. Last September my hubby had to have one of his kidneys removed he went in for a kidney stone and they found kidney cancer it was as big as a fist on the back side of his kidney. He has to be monitored every 6 months but he is doing well. No chemo they got all of the cancer. It wasn't his time to go home to God either. We are both such blessed women:)
XOXOXO

Ann, I am sending you and your husband all my best hugs and good wishes. How horrible. Did they catch the person behind the wheel?

My favorite saying is BE GRATEFUL. I try to be daily, but this makes me doubly so.

Warm hugs to you, sweet girl. And a big hug to your hubby.

Hi Ann,
I'm praying that your hubby is going to escape any long term injury from this. My brother George was 39 when he was hit by a car and he died 14 hrs later. It was the most horrible thing we ever went through! I always have a fear of hitting someone. My hubby say's im paronoid! I just might be, but it would be horrible to hit a person (or even an animal).
Prayer being said and I know you will have nightmares for a while to come..
Hugs, Shirley

Hi Ann, I'm so sorry to hear about your husband. Drivers are crazy sometimes, I've been close to be hit a few times because the drivers go against red when we pedestrians have green. It's scary and things can happen so fast. Hope he will recover and that there won't be any permanent damage in his knees.
Prayers are being sent!
Big hugs

I am so thankful that your husband is ok! Yes, you have to remember how important people are and never take anything or anyone for granted. My Dad took his dog for a drive and was hit by a 73 MPH driver on a city street, so I know all about loss and how in the blink of an eye, it all changes! Take care and sending hugs!

OMG!!! Dearest Ann,
I really am sorry to hear the news and surprised, my friend. I was away from home today and regretting my belated comment not knowing about it.
Oh, you must have been scary. Reading what you said "A very scary thing..in a heartbeat I could have lost the man who is my reason for living."; I was so moved and thought you expressed your feeling really straight.
I am thinking of you two and praying for his quick recovery!!!
May God be with you, xoxo Miyako*

OMG I have not dropped by in awhile and was absolutely floored when I read this. I am so glad he is alive. The rest will heal with time and Physical Therapy. You are so right - in a flash life as we know it can change. Appreciate those we love. Such good advice.
