HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

I would like to wish you a very Happy Mother's Day. Enjoy your day, however you spend it. I've posted some pictures of my Mom,who passed away in 1998..I miss her everyday, but I know she is with me.I talk to her all the time..she was an extremely creative woman,a home economics teacher the taught the grade school levels. She is my inspiration. She and my father couldn't have children, so they adopted me and my identical twin when we were 6 mos. old. She was the best Mother any child could have..and she was mine!! She taught me so much, with words and her actions. Happy Mother's Day Mom...I LOVE YOU.
The picture with my Father's Mother,my Mom and Miss Finnigan(from Cchildren's Home Society) was taken on the day they picked us up from the adoption agency and took us home. Every Dec. 31 we celebrated Adoption Day..it was the most important day for me to celebrate.I's the last photo. The one just above it is my parents wedding photo.

Hey Ann, sounds like you had a wonderful Mum! I had no idea Mother's Day was celebrated at different times in different countries...

Oh Ann what a wonderful story for Mother's Day-thank you so much for sharing.
My Mom was adopted and I had the best grandparents in the world. They have all been gone, dad too, for many years. The sorrow mellows but the memories never leave.

I am sorry you lost that book... But those letters sound like a real treasure... Scan them into a computer?

Ann your pictures are wonderful. I am so sorry you lost your mother. I know she is with you daily. How could she not be. I think people forget once you leave this earth you are not that far away. Why wouldn't she want to be with you as often as possible! She loves you she is your mother:)

I hope your day has been wonderful! And by the way you look so young also! I certainly would have never pegged you as a grandmother either! 28 you say!!! HMMM I think I will stick with that one:) Just add 20 years to that and that is my real age.

What a beautiful story and a beautiful mother, Ann. I lost my Mom in 1998 too. I was an only child, my father was "out of the picture" and her and I were so so close. I, too, think of her every day and miss her terribly. Now, we have to think of what beautiful memories we have and how lucky we were. (hug-hug) April
