This morning.......

we were proud to go to our grandson's school and be there when he received the Student of the Month award !! 
He has worked so hard and done so well!!!

just wanted to say hello to all of you!!
trying to visit all your blogs..catching up slowly!!
my 3 grandchildren are here all the time..the youngest one's day hasn't had him for 2 weekends now and it doesn't look like he's interested in having him anymore. the oldest 2's father has made no contact in over 7 weeks.  No quiet weekends anymore!!! But,they have always lived with us and they know they are wanted and loved!
Knee is still swelling off and on and very painful..it's crappy!!!! No chance to stay off it as much as I'd like!
have many projects started.....now,if i just had time!!!
hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend! looks like our heat is gone..very comfortable 80 degrees earlier!!

well..today is the first day where I've been able to sit up at the computer and start answering emails,visiting blogs and going to facebook! It's going to take me a bit to get to all of you..but get there I will!!! Have missed you all!
still have swelling and pain,but it is getting better!

oh  crap...just got on to tell everyone I haven't been ignoring you,only to find my stuff has made the permanent switch to the new blogger..HATE IT!!!!!!
anyway..took a fall down the stairs last Thursday..still have pain and swelling in my knee and leg..major bruising also. No breaks..just pain!  very uncomfortable to sit up to use computer for any length of time.
hope to visit all of you soon.

Besides their tireless work in rescuing and rehabilitating marine mammals,they also teach and lead tours. You can also donate to help provide the large amounts of food necessary..every  $1.00 buys 1 pound of fish...it takes 10 pounds per meal per animal.....any amount is so appreciated by them! you can also "adopt".... maybe a gift for someone?check them out!!!

my 2 oldest grandchildren start back to school tomorrow and the temps are slowly coming down..so I should be able to start some "cut and paste " art soon!!! i've so missed the feel of papers,ribbons,embellishments..ahhhhhhh,and the smell of glues..the sticky peel off stuff from the back of my hand(where i squirt the adhesives and glues)..the glitters and inks..the paint,scissors(and the 4 letter words which pop out when i make a mistake cutting!! ahahaha!!! MINE..THE DININGROOM TABLE IS SOON TO BE ALL MINE FROM 8 AM TO 3 PM!!..MINE!!!!

In our local paper......

Female inmate dies in jail cell...(click on link)this was in our local paper...Ventura County Acorn. This female inmate was the grandmother of Titus and Amelia(my 8 yo grandson and 7 yo granddaughter)..their father's mother.my grandchildren were there,during the weekend visitation with their father,who lives with his mother!,and saw her arrested!! This was such a terrible thing for them to have witnessed and to know she died in a jail cell. Titus and Amelia went to her funeral last Friday.   Say a prayer for my granchildren...such an awful thing for them to have gone through at such a young age! I pray they were not witness to the charges she pled guilty to...and that there were not other instances of violence that they saw.
