We have been in a Credit Union since 1977. Wouldn't have it any other way....and they don't do the c-r-...p that banks are doing. They should be ashamed.

We bank at our local small town bank. I know the tellers by name and they know mine. And I can't tell you how many times our account has been excused over draft fees because they know we make a deposit every Friday so if something bounces on a Thursday, the bank gives us grace. Can you believe it? I could never go back to a larger bank. I am totally spoiled!

You know who's going to come out on top if ever we have another big market crash. not the little guy or local credit unions, but the big cheeses, with all the clout in D.C.

Great post! So true, even in Canada!
It is despicable what the big banks do. We decided if ours starts charging fees, we are going to a credit union as well. I'll put what little cash I have under my mattress rather than pay them more and more. Oh dear, I am ranting on your blog. Well, hugs and thanks for listening. ;-)
