will be here off and on. my cataract is bad..little vision in rt. eye. can't get surgery to remove  until the beginning of March,unless there are cancellations..hope they get one!! looking out of one eye,and that has cataract which will be removed 3 weeks after the rt. eye!!
maybe i can use our chow Jerry as a guide dog!

It is New Years Eve...

December 31,1954

My paternal Grandmother and my Mother holding my twin sister and I the day they got us ..along with the social worker Miss Finnegan(who,by the way,attended my wedding!!)
Mom and Dad..I continue the yearly celebration,even though you and Jan are no longer here.I love you and am proud to be your daughter. Thank you for giving me the gift of your love.
To my birth mother,wherever you are..thank you. I have tried to find you since both my parents died...to thank you in person. I wanted to know you,the person you were. My Mother always said "you weren't born from my body,but from my heart". We are forever together in our hearts!
I was adopted..and also a gave up a child for adoption. I am in the unique position of knowing how both feels. 

To all of you..I wish you a New Year filled with happiness,good health and prosperity.
Thank you for taking the time to visit me here...I treasure all the friends I have made..and I look forward to visiting with you in the New Year!!

oh,the day after Christmas..kids playing with all their toys!!Their joy and laughter and happiness!! Kept me busy and occupied....
for me..a time of sadness..my father died the day after Christmas in.  2004..he wanted to die at home..i lived with him for 4 months,caring for him..letting him die with dignity,in his home,as he wanted .Bittersweet..he started dying the day my mother did,6 years earlier. They are all together,he,my mom and my twin sister. He looked so peaceful..I helped take his body to the ambulance..i wouldn't leave him till the last moment. Funny..I walked back into the house I had grown up in..it was no longer home..it was a house..the people who made it home were no longer there.
I am 59 years old..but, the daughter in me feels lonely for her parents.
Those of you who have lost parents know what I'm feeling.

My friend Rick sent me this in an email...had to share!!!

So..yesterday.............

I wanted to make a skull shrine for my son. Had the images,which i had purchased from TenTwoStudios a while back. i had printed the sheet ,but not the instructions,a couple months back..silly me,thought I'd remember how to put it together. Anyway,I got everything out,bought 2 sizes matchboxes to be sure i had the right ones, cut the images .then..crap..could not remember what to do with the matchbox cover..i remembered that it was cut a certain way,but couldn't remember the specifics. So..i spent over 2 hours going through my computer looking for the image and instruction files. couldn't find them. perhaps it was "can't see the forest for the trees"..you know how it is. well,i decided to try sending an email to Lisa at TenTwoStudios to see if i could get the instructions again.I realize that if everyone did it, it would be a pain. i figured if she couldn't,i'd just order the skull shrine kit digital download again.
She responded with the rudest,most unprofessional email I've ever seen!
my problem was with her first sentence.....
i use caps frequently. sometimes i email people with vision problems,so i use caps and slightly bigger fonts...sometimes i use them because i have cataracts and sometimes my vision is a bit cloudy..sometimes i use them just because!!
at any rate.......
here are the emails.(could not increase the size without cutting off emails with badges in my right sidebar)
9-21-2013...ps..if you right click on email image,then click on open link in new tab/window..the email will open and be much bigger!!! no eyestrain!!!
oh,duh!!!..you can just click on the email image and it opens up big!!!

So..now I am just not wanted to make this shrine...the whole thing just leaves a" bad taste in my mouth". I can't believe anyone would be that offensive as to begin correspondence with a customer in that manner.
My business may not matter to her  and that's fine. 
I am just amazed in this economy that any person who owns a business would treat any customer in that manner.
Very sad,but very telling.

Seven days ago I had a quadruple bypass open heart surgery
I'm home now and healing just fine. Each day I'm better and look forward to a new life. I almost lost it guys. The Good Lord has blessed me with good family and friends and a new birthday! 
A strange thing I have thought of today is while in ICU the second day after surgery my nurse was so much comfort and helped me through this very painful time. He spent every minute watching me, touching me, comforting me and my husband. He came to see me twice after I left ICU . His name was Larry. For four days I ask about Larry and no one knew of him. He was real, my hubby talked to him so I wasn't dreaming. Was Larry an angel? Weather in spirt or not, he was to me. Without Larry I'm not sure I would have gotten through those first days
