I have been working in photoshop while enjoying the Cajun music from the annual Memorial Day Cajun Festival that has been held in the park across the street from my house for about 20years! my dearest friend Amyjo Dayton gave me a gift certificate a while back to Moonlight Journey..in addition to the photoshop e-class I bought Using Digital Elements....still learning ,but I did this on my own with several different elements!! not bad for a beginner!!! Amy..I'm going to print this out and send it to you!!!!xoxo

Last week..............

OUR  CREATION!!!!!!  

my grandson,Titus and I, worked on his project which was turned in today. He had to do a report on an insect..he chose the WALKINGSTICK.All the kids were given a paperbag,which had to be utilized in the making of their insect. My husband came up with the idea of wrapping it around a stick!! So,we used trusty  distress ink stain to stain the white paper bag..wrapped with glue around the stick and twisted and twisted..glue all over our hands!! Then, picked out sticks to make the legs..this required the most "HELP" as the stick had to be glued to the body then wrapped with paper and glue to make it more secure!! wire on head for antenna and more paper wrapped around it!!.. put it on a branch..there is his project!!! .He took it to school today..branch with walkingstick on it..,along with his written report ! He was very proud..and according to my husband,who took him...everyone who saw it thought it was awesome!!

A small(about 5x5) accordion book collaged and embellished by me! there are pages on it for you to add pictures that are special to you!!
since i still can't use my camera..lost the cd that tells my computer to recognize it..and the cell phone camera for some reason won't let me send the picture to my email...these scans will have to do!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY !!!

I wish you all a wonderful Mother's Day!!
A day where we remember our Mothers. My mother was my role model...she taught me love,patience,understanding,nurturing and caring! She taught me to cook(don't like it..cook yes,cleaning up..NO!!),sew,clean(ick!) ,do laundry,iron..and all those things that we do. But,she also taught me to have fun with my kids..that all those things could wait..because kids grow so fast,,dishes can be washed later,floors can be swept and mopped later( she used to say "who wants to eat off it anyway!")..don't get me wrong,a clean house is good..but if a little one wants to play dress up.cowboys and indians,read a book..whatever...do it then and do the housework later! 
My Mom loved me no matter what I said or did..I could always go to her for anything..advice,comfort and just because!!! It wasn't until I had kids of my own that I could really appreciate what she did!!
A Mother loves,cares and nurtures...to all the Mom's who have children of some kind..be it your own with 2 or 4 feet.or someone else you "Mother"( and this is EVERY WOMAN I KNOW!!!!!)..I wish you a day filled with happiness and love !!!!

My son gave me my Mother's Day gift early..........

he finally got a Mom tattoo for me!!!!! Im allergic to flowers..they will wilt and die anyway..but this will last for all eternity!!!  The pictures were taken a short while ago..fresh ..yep..that's his blood dripping on the bottom,not part of the tatoo!! Yep..I'm demented and weird,but he couldn't have given me a better gift !!! thanks Cole..I love you!! Sorry the pic isn't clearer..they always come out a bit fuzzy with my poor old cellphone camera!!!
